St. Mary's dads' football: The real community Shield
06/03/2026

Last Friday (27th February) a group of dads of St Mary's played Victor Seymour Infants in a local football derby.
It was a night to remember, filled with impressive footwork, tactical prowess, and - most importantly - fantastic community spirit. While both teams gave it their all, it was St Mary’s clinical finishing that proved to be the difference, securing a convincing 6-2 victory.
A big "well done" goes out to every dad who laced up their boots. Events like these remind us what a great community we have across St Mary's and in the local community. We’re already looking forward to the rematch!
A group of St Mary's dads play each Wednesday evening. If you're interested in joining the group, contact your class rep who can put you in contact with the organisers
