First Holy Communion

As Catholics, we know that the Holy Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith: it is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Pope Francis has called it the "Sacrament of Love".

Most children prepare to receive the sacrament of First Holy communion in Year 3. Please contact your local Parish for information on their classes and application forms.  First Holy Communion celebrations normally take place in early Summer, with friends and family gathered. 

This is also an annual celebration in school, where we hold a First Holy Communion Mass, performed by a local priest and photos are taken in school. This does not replace the official First Holy Communion taking place in the Church.
