Orchard Childcare Wrap around Care Before and After School
Orchard Childcare at St Mary’s has an Infants and a Junior club based within the grounds of the Infants school. We Follow the Play work Principles that all children and young people need to play, we encourage and motivate children to follow their ideas and interests and to support their transition through Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) learning key skills, building confidence, and developing friendships.
Children are offered a healthy breakfast before school and a nutritious snack to help restore energy levels after a busy day at school.
Children are escorted to their teacher/school ready for the start of the school day and collected by a member of Orchard staff from their classroom or designated meeting point at the end of the school day.
Children can finish off their homework/read, chat with their friends or Orchard staff or play with their friends. Orchard believe all children need fresh air and encourage the children to go to play outside when appropriate.
The Breakfast Club starts at 07.15am and the After School Club finishes at 06.00pm

Childminders
Whilst we offer childcare through our breakfast and after school clubs, we realise that for some parents this may not be the right solution.
We are happy to provide information on childminders who currently collect children from our school or are parents registered at our school - see below.
Christina Snowsill - twothemanor@btinternet.com
Karina Callis - rosicedres@hotmail.com
Margeret Ann Deller - margaretannsangels@btinternet.com
Please bear in mind that we do not endorse any of these childminders in any way - we have not visited their premises. We are providing their details as an initial introduction through a directory, parents should then carry out their own full checks to ensure that the provision offered is appropriate for their child.
All childminders need to be OFSTED registered - for more information see this webpage:
