As always, a truly wonderful event! It is incredibly heart-warming to see our pupil's proudly displaying determination, resilience, team work and endless talent in running. Both cross-country events were incredible events to be part of, as our children supported each other and cheered each other on at every moment. We had an endless list of successes, including securing individual 1st places for Poppy and Oliver in their Year 4 events, 2nd places for Raphael and Josh in their Year 5 and Year 6 events and having two of our pupil's quality to represent Sutton at the London Youth Games at Parliament Hill in November, a huge well done to Josh and Ben. Running is of course a team sport and every finish contributed to an overall win for our girls teams and boys teams. St Mary's took first place in the following events; Year 4 boys, Year 5 boys, Year 5 girls, Year 6 girls, Year 6 boys and secured second place in the Year 4 girls’ race. What an unbelievable achievement and an absolute joy for the school. A huge thank you to Mr Trim, Mr Quinn and Mr Sia for their support, coordination and marshalling to ensure the event ran smoothly. We are so proud of every child who took part and would like to say a big thank you to all the families who supported this event and made this possible.
